All our packaging is plastic free and compostable and/or recyclable. Rest assured that when you order from us, we will only use plastic free materials to package your order for delivery.

Starch Packing Chips

We occasionally get asked why we use polystyrene loose fill packaging when everything else is plastic free - the answer is, we don't and never have!

When you receive your order you may find the item packaged with loose fill packing chips to ensure it arrives safely. Don't be alarmed, our loose fill packaging is made from starch and can be safely composted at home or recycled.

So how can you tell the difference?

To check whether loose fill packaging is made of starch or polystyrene, run one of the chippings under water. Starch loose fill chippings will quickly go sticky and then dissolve in water, whereas polystyrene loose fill will remain completely unchanged.
